4 Weeks to Lighter Work-Life Balance for Immigration Lawyers

An online group coaching program​​

The ROLL™ Method Bootcamp is an online live group coaching program for immigration lawyers who want to carry the emotional weight of their work without it consuming their health, their relationships, or their sense of self completely. It blends scientifically proven mental health and wellness practices with leadership skills, thus empowering lawyers to handle the weight with clarity, calm, confidence and control.

 

In 4 weeks, you'll go from carrying the weight of client cases home with you to having the practical tools to put it down, not perfectly, but enough. 

Even though the stress will never go away, with the right tools, the weight will be lighter. 

I won't lie to you, there is no magic trick to remove all stress caused by the emotional load of client cases. Despite having the tools to handle this stress, there will be days where it's just too much. That's all okay. In this bootcamp you will get the support, tools, knowledge and insights to manage the overwhelm.

This course hands you practical and easily applicable tools and techniques to gain insights in stress levels, patterns and behaviour. These resources not only create awareness, but it also create change. In every session we combine theory behind trauma, stress, and habits with the practical strategies how to deal with these. This combination is the most successful and effective way to incorporate a sustainable and permanent shift.

In this program we truly focus on outcomes, supported by practical, scientifically proven strategies. After four weeks you​: 

  1. Know exactly what your stress feels like in your body, your mood, your behaviour

  2. Understand how to respond differently under pressure

  3. Know what you actually can control

  5. Have a personal wellbeing plan

You are not alone

Dealing with the weight of your work can feel lonely at times. Many of your fellow lawyers are struggling with the emotional stress of your profession. Part of this program is a private peer community. This community is a safe space to share your experiences, feelings, progression (or lack of) and to receive and give peer support. You are not alone! BTW: what happens in the private group, stays in the private group.

July 23, 2026 - Founding Members Round

Starting the 23rd of July, 2026, I will run a pilot program. A small group. As a Founding Member, your experience shapes what this program becomes. In return, you get direct access, a reduced investment, and the knowledge that you helped build something that will go on to support many others doing this vital work.​

The Program

Week 1: “Name what's happening inside you” - Recognise & Reflect

Awareness is the first step towards resilience. By the end of this session, you will be able to identify you personal stress signals — emotional, behavioural, and physical — and name them without judgement.

👉 You slow down long enough to notice what the job is actually doing to you.

Week 2: “Understand where it comes from” - Open Up and Observe

Understanding leads to growth. By the end of this session, you will have explored how past experiences may be shaping your current responses, and begun to create some distance between what you feel and how you act.

👉 You figure out why it hits you as hard as it does.

Week 3: “Focus on what you can control” - Lead with Leadership

This is where we get practical. By the end of this session, you will have mapped your circle of influence, identified what you can and can't control, and committed to one habits to anchor into your routine. 

👉 You focus on what you can actually control and build one small habit that sticks.

Week 4: “Own the shift and anchor it in your body” - Laud the Liberation

Celebrate every shift and integrate learnings. By the end of this session, you will have acknowledged your growth, identified the tools that worked best for you, and created a personal somatic anchor you can return to whenever the weight builds.

👉 You celebrate how far you've come, anchor the shift in your body and create a sustainable wellbeing plan.

Week 5: “How is the muscle holding up?”  - Follow-up

Managing the emotional weight of your work isn't a problem you solve once. It's a skill you build over time, like training a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it gets.

Four weeks have passed since the programme ended. This session is about coming back together to witness what's shifted, what's stuck, and what needed adjusting in real life.

Program Details

The ROLL™ method brings you awareness, understanding, action and integration. It helps you recognise your stress patterns, understand how these are showing up in your life, build small sustainable habits that work, and celebrate the wins along the way. It's all about managing the emotional weight when it builds up. 

ROLL stands for: Recognise & Reflect, Open Up & Observe, Lead with Leadership, Laud the Liberation.

 

That last one - Laud the Liberation - is imho the most important step of all. Celebrating every tiny win, every small change, every moment of awareness is what keeps you rolling when the going gets tough. 

​I build this method, because I know what it takes to put the weight down. 

  • I've coached immigration lawyers 1:1 through the emotional weight of their caseload.

  • I've experienced this weight from the therapist's chair.

  • I watched relatives bring the weight of asylum cases home.

  • I know what it feels like to carry everyone else's weight at the cost of yourself, because I lived it too.
